Andrew begins his second year as Maine Maritime's Assistant Athletic Trainer. Johnson comes to MMA after a two year stint at Elizabeth High School in Colorado where he was responsible for all of the school's athletic teams. While in Colorado, he also volunteered with a semi-pro indoor soccer team, and from 2007 through 2009 he worked at the Colorado Crossroads Volleyball Tournament.

 Prior to his stint at Elizabeth High School, Andrew attended Adams State College (Colo.) where he received his graduate degree in 2007 with Masters in Health and Physical Education. While at Adams State he covered Women’s Soccer, M/W Basketball, and Indoor/Outdoor Track.

Johnson got his undergraduate degree from Valdosta State University (Ga.) in 2005 with a BS in Athletic Training. During his time at Valdosta his coverages included Men’s Basketball, Baseball, Valdosta High School, an Internship at Westminster High School in Atlanta, and a stint with the 2004 Valdosta D2 National Champion Football Team.

Andrew was born and raised in Atlanta and comes from a family of five. He is the son of Muriel and Bruce and has two sisters, Emily and Becca.


Men's Lacrosse player, Brian Corain, has been named the Mariners Athlete of the Month for April 2012.


Softball player, Sabrina Keach, has been named the Mariners Athlete of the Month for April 2012.
