The Harold Alfond Athletic Complex
Ritchie Field
Was the first all-weather, nylon turf surface in Northern New
England, this modern facility is home for the Mariner football,
lacrosse, and soccer teams, as well as the Lady Mariner's soccer
and softball teams. In 2006, MMA installed a new Sprint Turf field,
and in the fall of 2009 new stands and a new press box was
installed to complete the Ritchie Field facelift. Intramural
sports, regimental ceremonies, and summer athletic camps also
utilize the field.
Margaret Chase Smith Gymnasium
Dedicated in 1963, the spirited 'Hoop Deck' gives a home court
advantage to our Lady Mariner and Mariner basketball teams, as well
as our Lady Mariner volleyball team. It also houses our coaches
offices, sports medicine facilities, and locker rooms.
Oakley Logan Alexander Physical Education
Facility
Built in 1971, this versatile complex is the cornerstone of our
recreational activities. The multi-purpose fieldhouse has 4 indoor
tennis or volleyball courts, 4 basketball courts, and enough area
for indoor soccer, lacrosse, flag football, floor hockey, rugby and
softball.
Plus:
• 3 weight and exercise rooms,
• 4 racquetball, wallyball & handball courts,
• climbing wall,
• athletic and recreational locker rooms.
Cary W. Bok Swimming Pool
A college and community favorite for recreational swimming
programs, this olympic-sized pool is an important component of
MMA's basic water skills, ocean survival and SCUBA courses.
