The 19th Annual Mariner Classic Golf Tournament sponsored by Tidewater will be held at The Woodlands Country Club in Falmouth, Maine on the 3rd of June, 2013.

Registration for the 2013 Maine Mariner Classic has officially opened. The Maine Maritime athletic department is excited to announce that the tournament will be moving to the Woodlands Country Club in Falmouth Maine. The Woodlands is a world-class golf course, designed by George and Jim Fazio, is unique and uncompromising in every detail and has served as the site of the Ben Hogan/Nike New England Classic.

"The Woodlands is an outstanding golf course with exceptional banquet facilities,” said tournament director Craig Dagan. “We are very excited about being associated with them for our event.”

"We look forward to the 2012 event, and we are already working hard to make sure that it continues to be a great golf tournament. It is our goal to get more companies in the maritime industry involved with the tournament. With the help of our tournament committee and some prominent alumni, we hope to bring this event to another level.”

The Mariner Classic is a golf tournament that benefits the Maine Maritime Athletic Department and its student-athletes. Proceeds from the tournament are used to help provide the student-athletes at Maine Maritime Academy with a quality NCAA Division III experience. The generous support offered by all is very much appreciated.

"It never ceases to amaze us how many friends of Mariner athletics we have return to this tournament every year,” said Dagan. “We are extremely grateful for all of the support provided, especially from the 24 sponsors from last year’s event."
