Marchitello led the Mariner football team to a 24-5 record over three seasons. His tenure included two New England Football Conference championships and an ECAC title. In both his junior and senior years, he was named first-team All-American. His career totals included 61 touchdowns, more than 5,000 yards rushing, and 370 points.
