Champeon, Hermes Recognized

CASTINE, Maine – Ian Champeon (Dover-Foxcroft) and Alex Hermes (Fallsington, Pa.) were named to the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Weekly Honor Roll for their parts in Maine Maritime Academy’s season opening win over Anna Maria College.

Champeon toted the pigskin 17 times, covering 206 yards and scored the season’s first touchdown in the 42-13 win. Hermes picked off two passes, broke up two additional passes and recorded 10 tackles. Nine of his stops were solo efforts.

The 1-0 Mariners set out on their first road trip next weekend at Mass.-Dartmouth.
