A three-year letterwinner, Lund moves to the sidelines as a student assistant in 2012, following off-season surgery that ended his career. He will assist with the offensive gameplanning, with a focus on the midfielders role in that phase of the game. Lund will also run the substitution box.

In a Mariners' uniform, Lund appeared in 35 games making a dozen starts for the Mariners, scoring 12 goals and assisting on 11 more. Lund scooped 59 ground balls and caused eight turnovers in his career.
