Lyndon, Vt. -- Maine Maritime routed Lyndon State 19-3 in a North Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse game Sunday. The Mariners, winners of three straight, improved to 3-6 overall, 3-1 NAC while the Hornets fell to 0-5, 0-3.
Nicholas Betti netted a game-high five goals for MMA and dished out an assists. Bronson Guimond scored four times while Alex Hermes and Cameron Wyman added three. Nick Snelling, Evan Carrier, Wade Severance and Jack Tragert each scored once.
The Mariners opened the game with a 7-0 lead and led 10-1 at halftime. MMA tacked on three in the third and six in the fourth quarter.
Hermes and Tragert were dominate on face-offs. Hermes won 9 or 10 while Tragert took 12 of 14.
Maine Maritime returns to the field Saturday hosting Green Mountain at 4 p.m.
