NAC Men's Soccer All-Conference Team Announced
Castleton senior forward Josh Costa was named the North Atlantic Men's Soccer Player of the Year in a vote by the league's coaches. Costa led the league with 11 points (three goals, five assists) in six conference contests and helping the Spartans to a perfect 7-0 mark in conference play.
Castleton senior back Anthony Buehler was named NAC Defensive Player of the Year. Buehler, who scored twice, anchored a defense which allowed just four goals in seven conference games.
Freshman Casey Castle was named the conference Rookie of the Year. Castle led the conference scoring four goals during conference play and was a force on offense for the Terriers ranking among the league leaders averaging three shots per contest.
Castleton head coach John Werner was honored as the NAC Coach of the Year in a vote by his peers. Werner, in his sixth season at the helm of the Spartans program, led his squad to an undefeated regular season.
Green Mountain College was honored with the Team Sportsmanship Award. NAC all-conference selections are determined by a vote of the conference coaches. Additional players honored are due to ties in the voting.
