Bengals Blank Maine Maritime

FORT KENT, Maine – Phathizwe Sacolo scored a goal and assisted on two more to lead Maine-Fort Kent to a 6-0 win over Maine Maritime Academy in men's soccer on Sunday. It was the first setback of the season for the Mariners (3-1-1).

Sacolo factored in on three of the Bengals (5-1) first four goals. He set up Keith Williams 4:08 into the contest for the eventual game winner. Sacolo scored the next goal at 22:10 and assisted on the fourth goal early in the second half. Kenrick McLeod tacked on the final pair in the last 15 minutes of play.

Fort Kent fired 34 shots to the Mariners' one.

Maine Maritime returns to action on Saturday at Maine-Farmington.
