Marc Goulet enters his first season as an assistant soccer coach at Maine Maritime Academy. Goulet comes to MMA with strong experience as both a player and coach. Goulet played three season at the NCAA Division I level at the University of Maine. He started at central midfield for all three years, serving as the team captain as a junior. The University of Maine eliminated the men’s soccer program following the 2008 season, and Goulet transferred to Southern New Hampshire University. In 2009 he led the Penmen to the final 8 of the NCAA Division 2 national tournament. Goulet was named to the Northeast 10 First Team, as well as being selected to the All Region Team and to the NSCAA All American team. Prior to his collegiate days Goulet won five Connecticut state titles with the Oakwood Soccer Club.
After his playing days Goulet embarked on his coaching career. He worked with the Blackbear United Youth Academy during the 2010-2011 academic year, and spent the summer of 2011 working with the New England Revolution Youth Academy. Goulet has also worked as a coach at the Brown Elite 125 camp, as well as the Soccer Dimensions Camp at the University of New Hampshire, and the Soccer Sphere Camp at Southern New Hampshire University.
Goulet graduated from the University of Maine in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education.
