Men's Cross Country Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

CASTINE, Maine – The Maine Maritime Academy Men's Cross Country Team has been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Academic Team for the fourth-consecutive season. 

The men's cross country team is comprised of 30 student-athletes who combined to average an overall GPA of 3.25, the highest in program history. Maine Maritime Academy and Husson University were the only two North Atlantic Conference men's cross country teams to earn the honor.

This is the sixth-consecutive year that a Maine Maritime Academy Cross Country Team has been named to the USTFCCCA Division III All-Academic Team. The men's cross country team previously earned the honor in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016 and the women's cross country team earned the honor in 2013.

Overall, 221 women's teams and 167 men's teams earned All-Academic honors.

To be considered an All-Academic Team, programs must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.10 or greater.
