Ryan King begins his first season a the Head Men's and Head Women's Cross Country Coach at Maine Maritime Academy. 

King grew up in Orono, Maine and began his running career on the Orono High School Cross Country Team. Ryan ran and competed at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He graduated from Saint Anselm in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

Since college, he has participated in competitive running for more than two decades. Highlights of his running career included finishing in the top ten at the Mount Desert Island Marathon in 2007 and running the Boston Marathon three times.

He participates in several local running clubs: Sub5 Track Club, Eden Athletics, Rock Coast Runners, and Crow Athletics.

Ryan is the Race Director for the Bangor Labor Day Road Race, and also helps out with logistics and timing services for many events in Eastern Maine.

"I look forward to building on the past successes with the Men's and Women's Cross Country programs at Maine Maritime Academy," says King. "Running is a great way to instill commitment and strength, qualities that will last well beyond graduation."

Ryan is currently the Information and Business Analyst at MMA. He is married to Sarah Faragher and resides in Stockton Springs, Maine.
