NAC Softball All-Conference Teams Announced
Maine Maritime sophomore catcher Leah Jackson (Dedham, ME) was selected as the NAC Defensive Player of the Year for the 2011 season. Jackson was also a 1st Team All-Conference choice while sophomores Sabrina Keach (Chesterville, ME) and Casey McCloskey (Howland, ME) were named to the 2nd Team.

Terriers Hold Off Late Rally to Beat MMA
Bangor, ME – The Terriers of Thomas College held off a late rally by Maine Maritime Academy to pick up the 4-3 victory and advance out of the first round of the NAC Playoffs at Husson University’s O’Keefe field. Thomas put up 3 runs in the bottom of the third, and only had to add one more throughout the rest of the game to secure the win.

MMA's Season Comes To An End With Loss To Farmington
Bangor, ME - In game three of the North Atlantic Conference Championship, the Beavers from Maine Farmington eliminated the Mariners of Maine Maritime with a 9-3 victory. With the win, Maine Farmington advances to the next round of games and will face the winner of Husson versus Thomas. Maine Maritime ends their season with an 11-18 record (5-9 NAC).

Castine, ME - The Lady Mariners from Maine Maritime defeated the Beavers from the University of Maine at Farmington 5-3 and 3-0 Friday night in North Atlantic Conference action. With the wins, MMA improves to 17-6 (11-3 NAC) while UMF falls to 9-15 (5-7 NAC).-

Lady Mariners Snap Husson's 36 Game NAC Streak, Earn Split
Bangor, ME - The Lady Mariners from Maine Maritime snapped Husson’s thirty-six game North Atlantic Conference win streak with an 11-10 extra inning victory in game one but the Eagles claimed the second game with a 3-0 win.  With the split, Husson improves to 14-14 (7-1 NAC) and Maine Maritime improves 15-6 (9-3 NAC).

Castine, ME - The Maine Maritime Lady Mariners won a pair of North Atlantic Conference games over Johnson State on Sunday at Ritchie Field. MMA won the opener 12-4 and hung on to win the nightcap 4-3.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Alyssa Lepore (Victor, N.Y.) had her 100th career hit and Aimee Polimeno (North Woodstock, N.H.) won her first collegiate game in leading the Colby College softball team to a 3-2 win over Maine Maritime Academy in the opening contest of a doubleheader on Tuesday at Crafts Field.

CASTLETON, Vt. - Castleton State College (9-11, 3-3) split a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) doubleheader with visiting Maine Maritime Academy (10-3, 4-2) Sunday afternoon, winning the opener 9-3 and dropping the nightcap 3-2 in dramatic fashion.

Lady Mariners Earn Sweep Of Eagles
April 9th, 2011 - (Poultney, Vt.) – The visiting Maine Maritime Academy Mariners plated 36 runs over 11 innings en route to a sweep of Green Mountain College in North Atlantic Conference softball action Saturday. The Mariners pounded out 17 runs on 15 hits, capturing the first game 17-6 followed by a 19-2 victory in game two of the doubleheader. MMA improves to 9-2 (3-1) while the Eagles fall to 2-6 (0-2).

Orono, ME - The Maine Maritime Lady Mariners split a double header with the UMaine Presque Isle Owls in non-conference action Saturday at the UMaine Dome on the campus of the University of Maine at Orono. UMPI won the first game 6-5 in extra innings while MMA won the night cap 6-1 to earn the split.

Orono, ME - The Maine Maritime Academy Lady Mariners started their 2011 season with a three game sweep of the Fisher College Falcons at the UMaine Dome. MMA defeated Fisher 11-5 and 9-3 on Friday night and then completed the sweep with a 11-0 win on Saturday morning.

Maine Maritime Academy defeated the University of Maine at Farmington 2-1 to advance to the championship round of the North Atlantic Conference softball tournament. The Mariners claimed the lead in the sixth inning and would not look back. With the win, Maine Maritime improves to 22-6 and faces Husson University.

Bangor, ME - The Husson University Eagles claimed their second consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC) softball championship with a no-hitter by Nicole Sargent, defeating Maine Maritime 5-0. With the win, Eagles improve to 28-13 (14-0 NAC) while the Lady Mariners fall to 22-7 (11-3 NAC). As the NAC champion, the Eagles will advance to the NCAA tournament.

The Husson Eagles collected 25 hits and scored 21 runs in a two game sweep of the Lady Mariners on Wednesday night in North Atlantic Conference action at Ritchie Field. Husson won the first game 14-6 and took the night cap 7-2 en route to their 12th NAC win of the year.

The Maine Maritime Lady Mariners improved to 19-1 on the season and 10-0 in the NAC with a sweep of a double header against Green Mountain College 3-2 and 10-2 Sunday at Ritchie Field. The Lady Mariners hit two home runs and gave up only two earned runs on the afternoon to stay undefeated in conference.

JOHNSON, Vt. (April 10, 2010) - Visiting Maine Maritime Academy took a pair of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) softball games from Johnson State College on Saturday by the scores of 9-2 and 8-2. The Badgers drop to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in the NAC while MMA improves to 11-1 overall and 2-0 in the NAC.

Maine Maritime improved to 9-1 on the season after beating the Mules from Colby College in a non-conference game Monday afternoon at Ritchie Field. Nicole Poland (Damariscotta, ME) led the Lady Mariners with two hits including a game winning three run home run over the left field fence to seal the win.

The Maine Maritime Academy Lady Mariners lost their first game of the season after splitting Friday afternoon’s double-header in Chestnut Hill, MA. After winning the first game of the day 11-1, the Nighthawks held the prolific Mariner offense to just a single run in the second game, winning 2-1.

The Maine Maritime Lady Mariners improved to 3-0 on the season with a 6-1 victory over Fisher College in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon at the UMaine Dome. McKenzie Burke (Wells, ME) picked up her second win of the year and hit a home run that broke open the game helping the Lady Mariners to one of their best starts in the last five years at 3-0.
