Campbell Named MWBCA Rookie of the Week

CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime first-year center, Rebekah Campbell (Corinth, Maine) added to her honors in the wake of a solid week of basketball. Already named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week, Campbell was named the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Rookie of the Week when the organization released its honors on Tuesday.

Campbell averaged nine points and nine rebounds in a 1-1 week for MMA. Campbell scored a career-high 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a win over Thomas while collecting three blocks. Campbell then collected six points and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds against UMF. Campbell collected three blocks and shot 48% from the floor and 80% from the free throw line this week.

Campbell and the Mariners return to action tomorrow night against Bowdoin.
