Maine Maritime junior Leah Jackson (Dedham, Maine) was named to the All-North Atlantic Conference Second Team it was announced Tuesday.

Beavers Survive Mariners
UMaine-Farmington withstood a late Maine Maritime rally, by sinking 3 of 4 free throws in the final 13 seconds, to earn a 56-52 win in a North Atlantic Conference women's basketball quarterfinals Tuesday. The Beavers improved to 11-13 and advanced to Friday's semifinals where they will take on Castleton. The Mariners season ended at 14-11.

Mariners Win Third Straight; Clinch No. 4 Seed
Casey Everest and Leah Jackson combined for 31 points to help Maine Maritime to a 58-35 win over Johnson State in a North Atlantic Conference women's basketball game Saturday. The Mariners finished the regular season 14-11 overall, 11-7 NAC. MMA clinched the No. 4 seed in next week's NAC playoffs and will host No. 5 Maine-Farmington Tuesday. Tip-off time will be determined Sunday.

Saint Joseph’s College forced 27 turnovers, including 18 steals, to beat Maine Maritime 67-50 in a non-conference women’s basketball game Saturday. The Monks improved to 4-1 while Mariners fell to 1-2.

Bears Press Their Way to Mariner Classic Title
Bridgewater State used a suffocating defense to force 34 turnovers en route to a 68-48 win over Maine Maritime in the Mariner Classic Championship game. The Bears improved to 2-0 while MMA dropped to 1-1. Colby won the consolation game with a 63-51 win over Maine-Fort Kent.

Mariners, Bears Advance to Classic Final
Maine Maritime received double-doubles from Rebekah Campbell and Leah Jackson to knock off Maine-Fort Kent, 67-60, in the first round of the Mariner Classic Friday night at Smith Gymnasium. The Mariners (1-0) advanced to Saturday's 3 p.m. championship game opposite Bridgewater State, a 61-60 winner over Colby, while the Bengals (0-1) will play the Mules in the 1 p.m. consolation game.
