Katrina begins her tenth season as the Associate Head Women's Basketball Coach at Maine Maritime Academy. Prior to working at MMA, Katrina was a high school health education teacher and an assistant coach at Springfield College for three seasons.

Originally from Scarborough, Maine, Katrina attended Springfield College and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1998 and her Master of Education Degree in 2000. While at Springfield, she was a four-year performer and three-year starter at the guard position for the Pride.

Katrina's duties include recruiting, scouting of opponents, development of the Lady Mariner guards, and planning of practices.In her nine seasons at Maine Maritime, Dagan has been responsible for developing several outstanding guards. She has coached several North Atlantic Conference all-stars, and continues to help improve a young group of players from last year's squad.

"Katrina is the backbone of this program," says Head Coach Craig Dagan. "She has done a wonderful job over the past nine years. Her experience as a player and as a coach has proved to be very valuable to our program. Katrina is a big reason for the unbelievable success we have had since our arrival in Castine."

Katrina also serves as the Senior Women’s Administrator, Head Softball Coach, and Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Maine Maritime Academy. Her teams are renowned for the tenacity and enthusiasm with which they play. Katrina is an excellent motivator and whether it is in volleyball, softball, or basketball, she expects her teams to compete to the best of their ability.

Katrina has guided the Lady Mariner Volleyball team for the past seven seasons, including an 22-6 record in 2009 and was named the NAC Coach of the Year. The 2009 volleyball team won another NAC Championship and made the programs third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Katrina is currently in the process of rebuilding a young MMA softball program that had a program best 22-7 record in 2010 and reached the NAC Championship game. Along the way her 2010 softball team broke over 30 records and Dagan was named the NAC Coach of the Year.
