Maine Maritime Hosts Johnson State In Women's Soccer Quarter-finals.

With a perfect 7-0 conference record, Castleton State College will enter the upcoming North Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament as the top seed when tournament play begins this Tuesday, October 27. The Spartans (10-5-2 overall) have earned a first round bye and will host a semifinal contest on Saturday, October 31.

Maine Maritime (9-6-1 overall, 4-2-1 NAC) earned the third seed and will host sixth seed Johnson State (6-7-1 overall, 1-5-1 NAC) in a first round contest on Tuesday. The two teams played to a 1-1 tie when they met in Castine, Maine a week ago.

Three-time defending champion Husson, who posted a 6-1 mark in conference play, earned the second seed and a first round bye. The Eagles, 13-5 overall and ranked 9th in the most recent NCAA regional poll, will host the winner of Maine Maritime and Johnson State on Saturday, October 31.

Fourth seed Maine-Farmington (7-9-1 overall, 3-3-1 NAC) will host Green Mountain (6-8-1 overall, 3-3-1 NAC) in the other first round matchup Tuesday. The two teams played to a scoreless tie when they met in early October. Farmington was awarded the right to host following predetermined conference tiebreakers. The winner will play Castleton in a semifinal contest on Saturday, October 31.

The top six teams qualify for the NAC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages. First round games will be played on Tuesday, October 27 at the higher seed. First round winners will advance to the semifinals held at the higher seed on Saturday, October 31. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday, November 7 at the highest remaining seed. Game times and dates are subject to change. The NAC Champion receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship.
