Lady Mariners earn the NSCAA Team Academic Award
Castine, Maine - The Maine Mariitme Women's Soccer Team was honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Adidas for their efforts in the classroom for the 2009-10 season. MMA was one of 437 Women's Teams nationally to be recognized.
"I am very proud of this accomplishment as it speaks volumes to the committment these student-athletes have made on and off the field," says Head Coach Travers Evans.
In order to earn this award, the team must get a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. MMA attained a 3.06 GPA as a team.
