Megan Russell enters her first year of coaching at Maine Maritime Academy. Russell played soccer and softball for the Lady Mariners. On the pitch, she was a four-year starter at the sweeper position and served as a co-captain in her senior year. Russell was a two-time All-North Atlantic Conference selection, and was twice voted the team’s Most Valuable Player.

Russell was also a four-year starter in softball, playing centerfield and shortstop. Russell holds the school record for most singles in a season, as well as single-season fielding percentage. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Maine Maritime Academy in 2011, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business & Logistics. Russell is currently enrolled at the Academy as a Master’s candidate in Global Logistics & Maritime Management.
