Mariners Blank Bates

CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy used a balanced attack to hand Bates a 3-0 loss in volleyball Tuesday evening. The Mariners (7-1) turned in their seventh 3-0 sweep (25-18, 25-18, 25-22) of the season to move to 2-3 in the series with the Bobcats (0-5).

Jennifer Dixon (Woodstock, Md.) spread the wealth while she was ringing up 28 assists. Robertson recorded a solo block and five assisted blocks, while Ward offered up a solo and three assists. Ward also had a dozen digs to lead the team.  Heather Moore (Macedon, N.Y.) and Lail each had a pair of assisted blocks. Moore had four aces and 11 digs in the victory.
