Mariner Student-Athletes represented well in graduation honors
As part of the 66th Maine Maritime Academy commencement ceremonies
on May 1st, several Mariner and Lady Mariner student-athletes were
prominently featured.
Six of the graduating "Magna Cum Laude" seniors were student athletes. Volleyball standout Amy Young (Cumberland, Maine), Women's Basketball/Soccer player Kelsi Eiane (Harpswell, Maine), Women's Volleyball player Katherine McMillan (Belfast, Maine), Men's Soccer player Omar Chaar (Searsport, Maine), and Men's Basketball players Joe MulCahy (Plainville, Mass.), and Jarred Sternbergh (Jonesboro, Maine) all graduated "Magna Cum Laude".
Graduating "Cum Laude" was Football player Travis Fergola, Men's Lacrosse player Ryan Gannon (Concord, NH), and Women's Soccer players Sarah Paquette (Rochester, Vermont), and Kim Watts (Tennants Harbor, Maine).
Earlier in the day at the Graduation Awards Ceremony, seven student athletes received awards from various participating sponsors.
Women's basketball/soccer player Kelsi Eiane (Harpswell, Maine), Women's Volleyball player Katherine McMillan (Belfast, Maine), Men's Lacrosse player Ryan Gannon (Concord, NH), Golfer's Michael Smith (Ellsworth, Maine), and Chris Wallace (Crawford, ME), and Men's Basketball players Joe MulCahy (Plainville, Mass.) and Jarred Sternbergh (Jonesboro, Maine) were all presented with awards.
