Riana Sidelinger joined the staff at Maine Maritime as the Athletic Communications Coordinator in August of 2014 and also serves as the Director of the William J. Mottolla Athletics Hall of Fame. Sidelinger is a member of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as well as a member of the Maine Maritime Academy Professional Development Committee.
Most recently, Sidelinger's office produced the 2017-2018 Maine Maritime Academy Student Employee of the Year Award recipient, McKenzie Slauenwhite.
In June 2017 and July 2018, Sidelinger spearheaded social media campaigns that won the NCAA Division III Special Olympics Spotlight Poll, securing a $500 grant from the NCAA for the 2018 and 2019 edition of the department's annual Special Olympics event.
During Sidelinger's time at Maine Maritime, the Athletics Communications Office has transitioned to a two-camera high definition webstream for all home events and coordinated a complete redesign of MarinerSports.org in September 2016.
A 2011 graduate of the New England School of Communications, Sidelinger earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications. Prior to coming to Maine Maritime Academy, Sidelinger worked at Husson University as the Assistant Sports Information Director from 2012-2014, and interned at the University of Maine at Orono in their Sports Marketing department in 2010-2011.
