Men’s Cross Country
The Mariners competed as a split squad on Saturday, traveling half the team to the Keene State Invitational, for a seventh place finish, and half the team to Colby for a fourth place finish.
Zachary Kinsman (Lebanon, N.H.) led the Mariners and all NAC Rookies at the Keene State Invite finishing the five-mile course in 28 minutes and 51 seconds.
The Mariners will compete next at the State of Maine Championship on Oct. 18th. Last season Maine Maritime placed fifth overall as a team, and Matt Methot led the Mariners with his eighth place finish.
Women’s Cross Country
The Mariners competed as a split squad on Saturday, traveling half the team to the Keene State Invitational, for a fourteenth place finish, and half the team to Colby for a fourth place finish. Olivia Osbourne (Newcastle, Maine) was the top finished at Keene, and Caroline Martin (Scarborough, Maine) led the Mariners at Colby.
The Mariners return to action at the State of Maine Championship on Oct. 18th. Last season Maine Maritime placed ninth as a team and were led by Jessica Faltings (Northport, N.Y.) who placed 78th among the 121 runners.
Football
Maine Maritime Academy fell to New England Football Conference opponent Endicott College 45-28 at Ritchie Field.
Running back Jacob Doolan (Fairfield, Maine) collected 219 yards and two touchdowns by ground and 102 yards and a touchdown by air. While quarterback Michael Fahey (Union, Conn.) ran for 142 yards and threw for 141 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
The Mariners move into their bye week and look ahead two weeks to October 18th when they will host Coast Guard at 12:00 p.m. on Ritchie Field.
Golf
Golf competed at the UNE Invitational and won the Mariner Invitational this week. Keenan Kalthoff (Fallbrook, Calif.) placed tied for third at UNE and tied for fifth at the Mariner Invite to lead Maine Maritime.
The Mariners will return to action on October 18th for the NAC Championship. Last season the Mariners placed third overall at the North Atlantic Conference Championship, Keenan Kalthoff placed third overall and was named to the First Team All-Conference.
Men’s Soccer
The Mariners shutout Husson 2-0 on Saturday night to remain unbeaten in the NAC. Jonathan Reeks (Bedford, N.H.) grabbed a goal and added an assist to lead the NAC and the team with goals (9) and points (20). Rookie Tom Samson (Waterville, Maine) picked up the other goal for the Mariners in the victory.
Maine Maritime will host NAC opponent Me.-Farmington on Tuesday night, and will travel to Colby-Sawyer on Saturday. Historically the Mariners are 8-40-9 against the Beavers, but have won the last five meetings. Against the Chargers, the Mariners are 4-1-1, including a 0-0 tie last season.

Women’s Soccer
The Mariners fell to Husson on Saturday night, 3-2 on a last minute goal from the Eagles. Victoria Cooper (Saco, Maine) grabbed a goal and an assist in the loss, while Morgan Libby (Brunswick, Maine) added the other score.
Maine Maritime will host Me.-Farmington on Tuesday night, and travel to Colby-Sawyer on Saturday. Historically the Mariners are 2-15-1 against the Beavers, and 0-3 against the Chargers.

Volleyball
The Mariners went 3-1 overall this week, picking up two wins against Me.-Machias and a conference victory over Castleton. Sydney Robertson (Barnstead, N.H) became the all-time career leader in total blocks.
The team will return to action this Wednesday when they play at Saint Joseph's. The Mariners are 4-7 against the Monks historically. This Saturday the Mariners will travel to the University of New England to take on Southern Maine and UNE. Maine Maritime is 4-4 against USM and 1-2 against UNE.
