IRVING, Texas -- Maine Maritime Academy football seniors Dylan Bragg (Oakland, Maine), Jacob Doolan (Fairfield, Maine), Tyler Gagnon (South Berwick, Maine) and Cody O'Brien (Wells, Maine) have been named to the 2018 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society.
On Wednesday, the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame announced the members of the 2018 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career.
Bragg, a linebacker and Marine Engineering Technology major, appeared in all nine games this season and tallied six tackles.
Doolan, a running back and an International Business & Logistics major, appeared in seven games this season, amassing 263 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Gagnon, an offensive lineman and a Marine Engineering Technology major, appeared in all nine games for the Mariners this season and helped pave the way for the Mariners' 1,782 total rushing yards.
O'Brien, a linebacker and Marine Engineering Technology major, appeared in all nine games for the Mariners totaling 65 tackles, including 29 solo tackles and 7.5 tackles for a loss of 11 yards. The senior captain also forced a fumble and a broken up pass. O'Brien was also named to the NEWMAC Football All-Sportsmanship Team.
