Maine Maritime Academy's Last Game: Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball fell to Saint Joseph's College of Maine, 104-78 on December 4 in non-conference action at the Harold Alfond Center.

The Monks built an early 22-10 lead in the first half, but the Mariners closed the gap to seven points midway through the half. Saint Joseph's began to pull away and held a 54-33 advantage at halftime, en route to the victory.

Adam Richardson (Bradley, Maine) led the Mariners with 21 points, seven assists, five rebounds and a steal. DeMerrill Levy (Houston, Texas) tallied 19 points, six assists and a rebound and Nicholas DePatsy (Waldoboro, Maine) contributed 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Jack Casale led the Monks with 28 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Ian Mileikis tallied 22 points, five rebounds, two steals and an assist, and Darian Berry contributed 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a steal. Tatsuaki Sakai added 10 points, four assists, two steals and a rebound.

The Mariners shot 47.8 percent from the floor, while the Monks shot 58.7 percent and held a 39-29 advantage in rebounds.

University of New England's Last Game: Down by nine with 10 minutes to go, Colby-Sawyer College rattled off a 17-2 spurt in 2:08 to flip the advantage and go on to a 108-101 men's basketball decision over the University of New England on December 8 at the Harold Alfond Forum. 

The Nor'easters came out of halftime with an eight-point edge (57-49), pushed it as high as 12 (74-62), and maintained an 81-72 cushion before the Chargers battled back. Jourdain Bell scored in the deciding run, while CSC forced UNE into six turnovers in seven possessions during the span.

Colby-Sawyer nearly doubled-up the hosts in the moments that ensued (16-9) as the spread expanded to 105-92 with 1:29 to go.

Pacing the Chargers was Patrick Coffey, who made 10-of-15 shots to share the game-high of 22 points. Nate Trevino and KJ Synvrit combined to knock down 12-of-19 field-goal tries and registered 18 points apiece; Trevino made his day a double-double with 12 rebounds and four blocks.

Bell finished with 17 points and nine boards, while Terrence Harvey, Jr. went for 13 points with six assists. Nick Backer tallied all of his 11 points after the intermission for Colby-Sawyer, which connected at a 55 percent clip in the closing period.

The Nor'easters were guided by 22 points, six rebounds, six assists, and five steals out of Alex Kravchuk. Ricardo Castillo canned 6-of-11 three-pointers to contribute 18 points, and Avery DeBrito added 11. Drew Patno hauled in a match-best 15 rebounds, helping his side secure a 57-51 edge on the glass. 

UNE hit 21-for-64 from behind the arc to out-score the visitors by 17, but made just 24 percent (8-of-33) from long distance in the final 20 minutes.

Early on, the Chargers used an 11-0 stretch to go up, 21-11, but 10 unanswered by the Nor'easters soon knotted things at 27-all. The home squad then turned in runs of 13-3 and 9-0 to build a 10-point margin just before the break.

The Mariners: After eight games the Mariners average 72.9 points, 36.4 rebounds, and 17.8 assists per game, while averaging 47.4 percent from the floor, 37.3 percent from three-point land and 76.1 percent from the line. 

Adam Richardson leads the Mariners with 17.5 points and 4.8 assists per game, while DeMerrill Levy averages 15.6 points per game, Nicholas DePatsy averages 13.1 points per game and Riley Jorgenson (Vienna, Va.) averages 10.5 points per game, while leading the team with 1.4 steals per game. Jorgenson and Richardson lead the Mariners with 6.5 rebounds per game.

The Nor'Easters: After 10 games the Nor'easters average 98.4 points, 43.8 rebounds and 15.2 assists per game while shooting 37.4 percent from the floor, 31.2 percent from beyond the arc and 72.1 percent from the line.

Alex Kravchuk leads UNE with 15 points per game, Avery DeBrito averages 12.2 points per game and leads the team with three assist per game and 2.4 steals per game. Jackson McCoy averages 10.1 points per game and Drew Patno leads the team with seven rebounds per game
