Maine Maritime Academy's Last Game: Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball fell to the University of New England, 114-101 last Sunday afternoon in non-conference action inside of Smith Gymnasium.
The two teams battled closely in the beginning, but the Nor'easters began to pull away and took a 66-51 advantage at halftime. The Mariners continued to fight but UNE's early lead proved to be too much and the visitors came away with the win.
Adam Richardson (Bradley, Maine) scored a game-high 22 points, to go along with 13 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, teammate Kimani Anderson (Houston, Texas) added 20 points, four rebounds, and three assists and both Riley Jorgenson (Vienna, Va.) and Nicholas DePatsy (Waldoboro, Maine) contributed 14 points. Jorgenson added five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal and DePatsy chipped in with eight rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals. Colby Furrow (Thorndike, Maine) rounded out the Mariners in double-figures with 10 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block.
Alex Kravchuk led UNE with 21 points, two rebounds and an assist, while Avery DeBrito added 17 points, two assists, two steals and a rebound and Drew Muniz chipped in with 14 points, eight rebounds, two steals and a block. Ryan Beatty added 13 points, four rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block.
The Mariners shot 51.9 percent from the floor, while UNE shot 46.4 percent. The Nor'easters held a 45-40 edge in rebounds.
SUNY Canton's Last Game: Robert Holliday, Jr. tallied a team-high 16 points but the SUNY Canton men's basketball team fell to No. 24 nationally-ranked Middlebury College, 100-66 on Tuesday.
The Roos trailed just 29-20 with 6:23 remaining in the opening half but host Middlebury close the half on a 28-7 run to take a commanding 57-27 lead into intermission.
Canton got within 24 in the second half but the Panthers, ranked 24th in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 poll, extended the lead to as many as 37 on their way to their ninth win of the season.
Holliday, Jr. was the lone Roo scoring in double figures, his eighth time leading the team in scoring and 10th time posting double digit points in 13 contests this season. Brandon Adkisson and Joseph Werner tallied nine points apiece, while George Nehma chipped in eight points off the bench.
Matt Folger led Middlebury with 20 points, 16 rebounds and six assists. Jack Farrell totaled 16 points and Eric McCord and Hilal Dahleh posted 12 points apiece. Max Bosco (11) and Griffin Kornaker (10) also reached double figures in scoring in a balanced scoring effort for the Panthers.
The Mariners: After nine games the Mariners average 76.0 points, 36.8 rebounds, and 18.3 assists per game, while averaging 48.0 percent from the floor, 37.2 percent from the three-point line and 73.0 percent from the line.

The Kangaroos: After 13 games, the Roos average 76.2 points, 40.5 rebounds and 13.2 assists per game, while shooting 44.5 percent from the floor, 33.5 percent from beyond the arc and 73.2 percent from the line.
Robert Holliday, Jr. leads Canton with 15.2 points per game, Brandon Adkisson and Jordan Stewart both average 10.8 points per game. Joseph Werner leads the Roos with 7.7 rebounds per game, while Adkisson, Werner and Holliday, Jr. all lead the team with 2.2 assists per game. Andrew Fitch leads the team with 3.0 blocked shots per game.
