The Mariners battled back in the second half and put together a 10-point run to cut Canton's lead to 54-49 with 7:57 remaining. Maine Maritime closed the gap to four points following a basket by Kimani Anderson (Houston, Texas) at 6:46, but the Roos held on for the win.
Riley Jorgenson led the Mariners with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, while also adding five assists, a steal and a block.
Jordan Stewart led Canton with 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Brandon Adkisson and Robert Holliday, Jr. contributed 13 points each. Adkisson added four assists and a rebound, while Holliday, Jr. chipped in with two assists, two steals and a rebound.
Andrew Fitch tallied a game-high 13 rebounds, eight points, five blocks and a steal for the Roos.

The Eagles maintained a narrow 38-35 lead at halftime but outscored the Owls 43-33 in the second half for the victory.
Justice Kendall, Justin Martin and Justin Thompson led Husson with 18 points each. Kendall added three rebounds, two assists and two steals, Martin contributed eight rebounds, four blocks and a steal and Thompson chipped in with nine rebounds, and two assists.
The Eagles shot 47.7 percent from the floor and 38.1 percent from beyond the arc, while the Owls shot 38.5 percent from the floor and 25 percent from three-point land. Husson held a 44-36 advantage in rebounds.
