Series History: The Eagles hold a 40-2 all-time advantage over the Mariners, including a 17-1 record when playing at Maine Maritime. The Mariners' last victory over the Eagles came in 2012 in Castine.

Last Meeting: Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball fell to Husson University 79-69 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on January 11, inside of Newman Gymnasium. 

The two teams battled back and forth early, but the Mariners built a 21-14 lead at 11:06. The Eagles responded with 13-unanswered points to take a 27-21 lead with 7:07 remaining in the first half and held the Mariners scoreless in the final five minutes of the half to take a 46-28 lead into halftime.

Maine Maritime began to chip away at the Eagles' lead in the second half, closing the gap to 52-46 with 13:13 to play. The Mariners closed the gap to seven points on numerous occasions, and outscored the Eagles 41-33 in the second half, but Husson held on for the victory.

Adam Richardson (Bradley, Maine) scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Mariners, while also contributing six rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Nicholas DePatsy (Waldoboro, Maine) added 16 points, three assists, two steals and two rebounds, and Riley Jorgenson (Vienna, Va.) tallied a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Jorgenson also added five assists and a steal.

Cole Thomas led the Eagles with 14 points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal and a block. Justin Thompson added 13 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals and Corey Kaiser contributed 12 points, two rebounds, two steals and an assist 

The Mariners shot 47.5 percent from the floor and 36.4 percent from three-point land, while the Eagles shot 52.6 percent from the floor and 35.3 percent from beyond the arc. The Mariners held a 33-32 edge in rebounds.

Maine Maritime Academy's Last Game: Nicholas DePatsy hit nine three-pointers to set a Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball single-game record and scored a career-high 33 points as the Mariners fell to Thomas College 79-73 on Saturday afternoon, in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action inside of Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.

After a back-and-forth opening five minutes, the Mariners went on a 10-point run, highlighted by back-to-back threes from DePatsy to take a 17-8 lead at 12:09. The Terriers hit a basket, but DePatsy responded with another three to give the Mariners their biggest lead of the game, 20-10, at 11:04. Thomas orchestrated a 15-1 run to close out the first half, and the Terriers took a 40-32 edge into halftime.

The Terriers scored seven-unanswered points to open up the second half to build a 47-32 lead, but the Mariners continued to chip away at the deficit and closed the gap to just two points (67-65) with 3:57 to play. Despite the Mariners' surge, Thomas went a perfect 6-of-6 from the line in the final minute to hang on for the victory.

DePatsy led all players with a game-high 33 points, going 9-of-13 from behind the arc, and added five rebounds, one assist, one steal and a block.

Adam Richardson tallied 19 points, six rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Zach Mackinnon led Thomas with 21 points and two rebounds, Justin Butler contributed 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists and a steal and Michael Gilman chipped in with 11 points and a steal. Jordan Goodson finished just shy of a double-double with game-high 10 rebounds, eight points, six assists and four steals.

The Mariners shot 51.2 percent from the floor and 60.0 percent from three-point land, while the Terriers shot 43.3 percent overall and 40.0 percent from behind the arc. Thomas held a 37-26 advantage in rebounds on the afternoon.

Husson University's Last Game: The Husson Eagles defeated the University of Maine at Farmington Beavers 77-71 on Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference action.

Justin Thompson finished with a game-high 24 points. He also recorded five rebounds and six assists.

Justin Martin finished with a double-double, scoring 12 rebounds and snagging 10 rebounds. Martin now has 13 double-doubles on the season.

Both DJ Bussey and Bruce St. Peter scored 11 points in the win. Bussey knocked down three 3-pointers, and St. Peter made five of the six shots he took.  

Amir Moss finished with a team-leading 22 points. He also had four rebounds and three assists for the Beavers.

Issac Witham was a bright spot for the Beavers, ending the game with 16 points and five assists.

Milani Hicks was only one rebound shy of a double-double, scoring 14 points and pulling down 9 rebounds. 

The Mariners: After 23 games the Mariners average 73.8 points, 32.9 rebounds, and 18.1 assists per game, while averaging 49.1 percent from the floor, 40.7 percent from three-point land and 72.6 percent from the line. 

Adam Richardson leads the Mariners with 18.6 points and 4.6 assists per game while Nicholas DePatsy averages 16.1 points per game and Riley Jorgenson averages 11.3 points per game and lead the Mariners with 6.9 rebounds. Both DePatsy and Jorgenson lead the Mariners with 1.1 steals per game.

The Eagles: After 24 games Husson averages 81.3 points, 41.5 rebounds and 16.3 assists per game, while shooting 44.1 percent from the floor, 36.3 percent from three-point land and 68.1 percent from the line.

Justin Martin leads the Eagles with 14.8 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game, while DJ Bussey averages 12.6 points per game, and Justin Thompson averages 11.9 points per game. Justice Kendall leads the team with 4.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
