Series History: The Nor'easters hold a 20-0 all-time advantage over the Mariners, including a 10-0 record when hosting.

Last Meeting: Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball fell to the University of New England, 114-101 on December 30, 2018 in non-conference action inside of Smith Gymnasium.

The two teams battled closely in the beginning, but the Nor'easters began to pull away and took a 66-51 advantage at halftime. The Mariners continued to fight but UNE's early lead proved to be too much and the visitors came away with the win.

Adam Richardson scored a game-high 22 points, to go along with 13 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, teammate Kimani Anderson (Houston, Texas) added 20 points, four rebounds, and three assists and both Riley Jorgenson (Vienna, Va.) and Nicholas DePatsy (Waldoboro, Maine) contributed 14 points. Jorgenson added five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal and DePatsy chipped in with eight rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals.

Alex Kravchuk led UNE with 21 points, two rebounds and an assist, while Avery DeBrito added 17 points, two assists, two steals and a rebound and Drew Muniz chipped in with 14 points, eight rebounds, two steals and a block. Ryan Beatty added 13 points, four rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block.

The Mariners shot 51.9 percent from the floor, while UNE shot 46.4 percent. The Nor'easters held a 45-40 edge in rebounds.

Maine Maritime Academy's Last Game: Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball fell to the Division I University of Maine 90-50 on Sunday, November 24, in an exhibition game at the Portland Expo.

The Black Bears jumped out to a 17-4 lead and never looked back, outscoring the Mariners 47-29 in the first half and 43-21 in the second half.

Nicholas DePatsy led the Mariners with 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal, while Riley Jorgenson added 10 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals and Riley MacLeod (Bucksport, Maine) chipped in with eight points, three assists and a rebound.

Andrew Fleming scored a game-high 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the double-double, while adding two steals, an assist and a block to lead Maine. Miks Antoms added 12 points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block and Nedeljko Prijovic tallied 10 points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals.

The Mariners shot 38.2 percent from the floor, and 22.2 percent from beyond the arc while the Black Bears shot 52.9 percent from the floor and 27.6 percent from three-point land. UMaine held a 48-24 advantage in rebounds.

University of New England's Last Game: Bowdoin College went on a 21-6 run over a seven-minute stretch early in the second half to extend a two-point edge on the way to a 75-57 men's basketball result against the University of New England on Tuesday, November 26 at Morrell Gymnasium.

The Nor'easters trailed by as many as nine (13-4) in the opening period, but managed to trim the gap to just a couple at the break (32-30). It was 39-37 before the Polar Bears began to build their advantage, starting with a three-pointer by Zavier Rucker. With 10:30 left, the cushion had grown to 60-43.

UNE shot 43 percent during the initial frame, including 5-of-11 from deep, to keep things close. The hosts flipped the script following halftime, knocking down 56 percent of their field goals while holding the visitors to 36 percent.

David Reynolds came off the bench to post a game-high 15 points for Bowdoin, and Rucker ended with 13 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Taiga Kagitomi and Drew Gagnon each added 10 points.

The Nor'easters received a double-double of 13 points and match-best 10 boards from Alex Kravchuk. Avery DeBrito went 3-for-3 from downtown to contribute 11 points, while Jesse Matthews and Siddiq Canty tallied nine points.

The Mariners: After three games Maine Maritime averages 67.3 points, 32.7 rebounds and 13.0 assists per game, while shooting 43.0 percent from the floor, 34.3 percent from three-point land and 67.3 percent from the line.

Nicholas DePatsy leads the Mariners with 21.3 points per game, DeMerrill Levy (Houston, Texas) averages 15.7 points per game and Riley Jorgenson averages 11.3 points per game while averaging a team-leading 2.0 steals per game.
