    Maine Maritime Academy’s Andrew DiSalvo gave the North squad the go-ahead goal late, but the South team responded with a pair in the closing moments to secure a 14-13 win at the 71st USILA North/South All-Star game. DiSalvo was Maine Maritime’s first participant in the game.

    Andrew DiSalvo will represent Maine Maritime Academy at the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association’s (USILA) North/South All-Star Game. DiSavlo will play for the North quad under the direction of Dave Campbell, who wrapped up his sixth season at Middlebury College.

    New England College’s Steve Parsons recorded a game-high six goals to lead the Pilgrims past Maine Maritime Academy 16-5 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men’s Lacrosse Semifinals on Wednesday. With the win, the Pilgrims improve to 11-6 on the season and advance to Saturday’s NAC Championship game. The Mariners close out the 2012 campaign with a record of 6-9.

    Maine Maritime senior attack Andrew DiSalvo has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year in a vote of the league's coaches. He is one of four Mariners named to the All-NAC Team when it was released on Tuesday. Freshmen Nicholas Betti and Ian Larcom were named to the Second Team along with junior, Jason Smith.

The win propels the 6-8 Mariners into a Wednesday NAC Semifinal matchup at New England College. The loss closes the book on the Badgers season at 4-9.

The Mariners head into the NAC Tournament on a winning note, closing the regular season with a regular season record of 5-8, 5-3. The Beavers’ loss closes Farmington’s season at 2-10 (1-7 NAC).

    Chris Pelletier picked the top left corner of the net with 58 seconds left in the game to deliver Husson an 8-7 win over Maine Maritime in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) lacrosse at Ritchie Field Wednesday evening. It was the only time the Eagles (9-6, 5-1 NAC) struck in the fourth quarter, and the fifth time in the game that Husson lit the scoreboard in the final minute of a quarter. Pelletier’s goal answered a Mariners’ (4-7, 4-3 NAC) three-goal spurt early in the final quarter that evened the game at 7-7.

Three other Mariners (3-5, 3-1 NAC) recorded three goals and three assists in the win. Maine Maritime improved to 6-0 in the series with the Hornets (2-3, 2-2 NAC).

Andrew DiSalvo (Glastonbury, Conn.) scored four goals and assisted on three more to power the victory, becoming just the third Mariner to reach the 100-goal plateau during the win.

    Drew Prowse factored in on half of his team’s goals in leading Massachusetts Maritime to a 14-7 win over Maine Maritime at Portland’s Fitzpatrick Stadium Sunday afternoon. The freshman attack scored five goals, assisted on two more, and gathered five ground balls on the afternoon. The victory put the Buccaneers on the plus side of .500 at 4-3, while Maine Maritime fell to 0-5.
