Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Colby

WATERVILLE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy men's lacrosse suffered a 20-0 loss to Colby College on Wednesday night, in non-conference action.

Maine Maritime goalie John Stolz (Scarborough, Maine) tallied a team-high five ground balls and also stopped 18 shots in net. George Doe (Kennebunkport, Maine) scooped up three ground balls and Dean Samuelson (Southbury, Conn.) scooped up two ground balls.

Colton Michel led the Mules with three goals and three assists, while teammates Austin Sayre, Lane Kadish and Kevin Seiler tallied two goals each. Graham Lian led Colby's defense with three caused turnovers, while Brad McCarthy led all players with eight ground balls. C.J. Layton earned the win in net for the Mules recording seven saves, in just under 37 minutes of action.

The Mariners fall to 0-7 overall, while the Mules improve to 3-7. Maine Maine Maritime returns to action this weekend when they travel to Vermont to take on a pair of North Atlantic Conference opponents, Green Mountain on Saturday and Johnson State College on Sunday.
