HENNIKER, N.H. – Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer fell to New England College 1-0, on Saturday in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action.
The Mariners and Pilgrims fought back-and-forth in a scoreless match until New England College broke the stalemate in the 70th minute on the eventual game-winning goal from Owen Lloyd.
The Pilgrims held a 32-12 shot advantage and have five corner kick chances while the Mariners had just one.
Joshua Reeks (Bedford, N.H.) tallied eight saves in the loss and Tenzin Khenrab stopped all two shots he face in the victory for NEC.
The Mariners drop to 1-4-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the conference, while the Pilgrims improve to 2-3-2 on the season and 1-1-1 in the NAC.
