CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy's Dalton Moore (Hollis Center, Maine) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week, Joshua Reeks (Bedford, N.H.) has been tabbed the NAC Defensive Player of the Week and Colby Clarke (Ellsworth, Maine) has been named the NAC Rookie of the Week.
Player of the Week - Dalton Moore
Moore scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute to lead the Mariners to an upset victory over Thomas on Sunday afternoon in the NAC Quarterfinals. The sixth-seeded Mariners picked up the 2-1 win over the third-seeded Terriers to advance to the Semifinals on Wednesday, which will be played at No. 2 seeded Colby-Sawyer.
Defensive Player of the Week - Joshua Reeks
Reeks had an incredible performance between the pipes for the Mariners in their 2-1 upset victory over Thomas in the NAC Quarterfinals. The junior keeper made a number of key saves, especially late in the game to preserve the victory for his team. Reeks held the Terriers, who had been averaging over three goals per game in conference matches, to just one goal, while tallying seven saves.
Rookie of the Week - Colby Clarke
Clarke helped lead the Mariners to a 2-1 upset victory over the third-seeded Thomas on Sunday afternoon. The midfielders shot late in the second half set up a corner kick, which led to the game-tying goal. The rookie took the corner kick and earned the assist on the equalizer when teammate Ike Doiron headed in the Mariners' first goal of the game.
