Men's Cross Country Finishes Fourth at UMF Invitational

FARMINGTON, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy men's cross country finished fourth out of seven teams, placing four runners in the top 20, in Saturday's UMaine Farmington Invitational.

Freshman Brandon Goud (Wiscasset, Maine) led the Mariners with a ninth place finish, running the 5K course in a time of 17:53.9, while freshman Cole Brundige (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) placed 15th with a time of 18:41.9. Freshman Aylen Wolf (Surry, Maine) finished 17th, followed closely by senior Zachary Kinsman (Lebanon, N.H.) who came in 19th, and Alex Wicks (Woolwich, Maine) rounded out the top five runners for Maine Maritime, in 33rd place overall.

UMaine Farmington's Jeremiah Sands took first place overall with a time of 16:50.7, and Colby-Sawyer College claimed the team victory with four runners in the top ten.

The Mariners return to action next Saturday, September 9 at the University of New England Invitational at Rotary Park in Biddeford, Maine.
