Saturday's Game: Maine Maritime Academy (2-2, 1-0 NAC) vs. Husson University (1-1, 1-0 NAC), 1:00 p.m., Newman Gymnasium, Bangor, Maine.

Series History: The Mariners hold a 14-13 all-time record over the Eagles, in a rivalry that dates back to 2003. The Eagles have won three-straight against the Mariners, but before that the Mariners had won four-straight.

When playing at Husson, the Mariners are 6-7 all time.

Last Meeting: The Mariners fell to the Eagles 63-41 last season on January 10.

The Eagles started things off with a 10-0 run in the opening minutes of the game but the Mariners fought back to close Husson's lead to 10-8, led by four points from captain Jillian Perron. Husson went on a 12-2 run with five minutes left in the half, to increase their lead to 28-14 and took a 30-16 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Eagles built up their lead to 19 points with seven minutes remaining, a deficit that proved to be too large for the Mariners to overcome, falling 63-41.

Perron led the Mariners with 13 points and five rebounds.

For the Eagles, Stephanie Comstock finished with a game-high 16 points, while Chandler Guerrette added 10 points. Katy Brochu tied for a game-high seven rebounds.

Maine Maritime Academy's Last Game: The Mariners cruised to a 70-51 victory in their North Atlantic Conference opener against Thomas College on Tuesday night.

The Terriers held a slim 14-10 lead after the first quarter, but the Mariners answered with eight-straight points to open up the second quarter capped off by a three-point play by Megan McLean (Eliot, Maine), to take a 18-14 lead. Thomas closed the gap to one following a Katie McAllister jump shot at 4:34, but the Mariners outscored the visitors 13-3 to take a 35-24 lead into the intermission.

The Mariners went on a 10-2 run to open up the fourth quarter, highlighted by threes from Willey and McLean to claim the 70-51 conference victory, their sixth-straight against Thomas.

Willey added six rebounds, six steals and two assists while Alayne Felix (Mahopac, N.Y.) and McLean each recorded 13 points. Felix pulled down a game-high nine boards, dished out a pair of assists and recorded a steal, while McLean added five rebounds, four assists and a steal.

Husson University's Last Game: Victoria McIntyre scored a team-high 18 points to lead the Eagles to their first win of the season over Maine-Farmington on Tuesday night, 73-56 in NAC play.

Kenzie Worcester and Chandler Guerrette added 15 points each, while McIntyre led the team with six rebounds.

The Mariners: Maine Maritime averages 59.3 points, 38 rebounds and 14 assists per game, while shooting 35.4 percent from the field. The Mariners are allowing opponents to score an average of 52.3 points per game.

Freshman Alayne Felix leads the team with 17 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game, while Alex Winchester (Hampden, Maine) leads the team with 2.5 assists per game and Kristi Willey (Topsham, Maine) leads the team with 2.3 steals per game.

The Eagles: In two games, Husson averages 67 points, 33.5 rebounds and 13.5 assists per game, while shooting 38.6 percent from the field. The Eagles are letting opponents score an average of 67.5 points per game.

Senior Victoria McIntyre and freshman Kenzie Worcester lead the team with an average of 14 points per game, McIntyre also leads the team with 7.5 rebounds per game, and Chandler Guerrette, Worcester and McIntyre lead the team with an average of 2.5 assists per game. Worcester also leads the team with two steals per game.

NAC Leaders: Alayne Felix leads the North Atlantic Conference in points per game (17), while Husson's Kenzie Worcester leads the NAC in field goal percentage (57.9).
