ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Maine Maritime Academy women's basketball sailed to an 81-45 victory over Bard College in non-conference action on Sunday at the Raptors Tip-Off Tournament inside of the Stevenson Athletic Center.
How it Happened: The Mariners took a 48-24 lead into halftime and never looked back, holding the Raptors to just 21 points in the second half.
Inside the Numbers: Alayne Felix (Mahopac, N.Y.) led the Mariners with 21 points, one block, one rebound and a steal. Megan McLean (Eliot, Maine) added 10 points, six rebounds, and five assists and Mikayla Charters (Newport, Maine) contributed nine points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Christina Kiser led Bard with a game-high 23 points, and added five rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. Katie Esposito chipped in with nine points, four rebounds and a block.
The Mariners shot 54.1 percent from the floor, while the Raptors shot 29.2 percent. The Mariners held a 45-24 advantage in rebounds.
Up Next: The Mariners improve to 4-0 on the season, while Bard drops to 2-1 overall. Maine Maritime returns to action on Tuesday, November 27 when they host UMaine-Fort Kent for their home opener at 5:30 pm.
