CASTINE, Maine -- Maine Maritime Academy's Alayne Felix (Mahopac, N.Y.) has been named an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Honorable Mention.
Felix led the Mariners in points per game (14.0) and field goal percentage (55.3) this season. Felix's 55.3 field goal percentage is a personal season-best, a MMA single-season record, and North Atlantic Conference (NAC) best. Felix, who began her legacy as a Mariner by scoring in double-digits in 92-consecutive games (104 games in total), became Maine Maritime's all-time leading scorer this season with 1,743 career points. Felix tallied 365 points this season, and is the program's all-time leader in field goals made (656), games started (107) and minutes (3,167).
The forward averaged 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game this season, on the way to her fourth NAC First-Team selection, fourth Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) All-State honor and second ECAC Honorable Mention.
