CASTINE, Maine -- After impressive performances in Maine Maritime Academy's 20-7 victory over Lyndon on Saturday, Tori Cooper (Saco, Maine) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, Sierra James (Campton, N.H.) has been named the NAC Defensive Player of the Week and Shelby O'Neil (Bar Harbor, Maine) has been named NAC Rookie of the Week.
North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week - Tori Cooper
In the Mariners' largest margin of victory in program history, Cooper broke the Maine Maritime single-game record for goals scored, as she tallied six goals, including a perfect 3-of-3 on free position attempts. Cooper also scooped up four ground balls, recorded two draw controls and caused one turnover.
North Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week - Sierra James
In her second victory in net for the Mariners in as many games, James made seven saves, scooped up four ground balls and caused two turnovers.
North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week - Shelby O'Neil
In just her second collegiate lacrosse game, O'Neil scored five goals and earned one assist for six points. The rookie also tallied four draw controls, four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
