    Samantha Levine scored a pair of goals to lead New England College to a 3-0 win over Maine Maritime Academy in North Atlantic Conference women’s soccer Saturday evening. The Pilgrims improved to 8-8-1 (4-4 NAC), while Maine Maritime closes the regular season at 5-9-2 (2-5-2 NAC).

    Maine Maritime played Thomas to 1-1 tie Wednesday in a North Atlantic Conference game. The Mariners now sit at 5-8-2 overall and 2-4-2 in the NAC while the Terriers stand at 4-10-1, 1-6-1.

    Castleton scored a pair of goals in both halves to knock off Maine Maritime 4-0 in a North Atlantic Conference game Sunday at Ritchie Field. The Spartans remained perfect in the NAC at 7-0 and are 11-3-1 overall while the Mariners fell to 2-4-1 NAC, 5-8-1 overall. The loss snapped a two game winning streak for Maine Maritime.

    Sarah Brochu’s fifth goal of the season was all of the offense as Maine Maritime defeated Maine-Presque Isle 1-0 in women’s soccer Sunday afternoon. The Mariners improved to 4-7-1 on the season, while the Owls slid to 4-7.

    Katherine Ferland tallied a hat trick and an assist to lead Maine-Fort Kent to a 5-1 win at Maine Maritime Tuesday afternoon. Theresa Biggs netted the other pair for the 6-0 Bengals. Maine Maritime slid to 2-5 on the year.

    Maine-Farmington scored goals on both sides of intermission to hand Maine Maritime a 3-1 setback in the North Atlantic Conference women’s soccer opener for both squads. Shelby Bryant netted the game-winning goal to lift the Beavers to 3-1 (1-0 NAC), while dropping the Mariners to2-4 (0-1 NAC).

    Annie Koensgen and Andi Flannery each factored in on five goals as Maine Maritime thumped Wheelock 8-3 in women’s soccer. Sunday evening’s eight goals marked the Mariners’ (2-3) most offensive day since 2006, and outpaced the total output of goals in the 2011 season.

    Gavriella Kaplan and Chole Wheeler factored in on all of the scoring as Vassar’s women handed Maine Maritime a 3-0 setback in Sunday afternoon soccer. The Brewers battled through the Eighth Annual Husson Invitational with an unblemished record to start their 2012 campaign off at 2-0. The Mariners fell to 0-2.
