Reny Meets A Qualifying Time as Swimming Falls to Norwich

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Maine Maritime Academy swimming competed against Norwich University on Saturday afternoon. The Cadets defeated the men's team 144-80, and the women's team 125-79.

Men's Meet Highlights:  

  • Patrick McEneaney (Suffolk, Va.) took second place in the 50 Yard Backstroke (30.20)
  • Liam Naturale (Dingman's Ferry, Pa.) finished second in the 50 Yard Breaststroke (29.74) and the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:06.57)
  • Brad Tibbetts (Boothbay Harbor, Maine) placed third in the 100 Yard Butterfly (1:02.26) and the 100 Yard Freestyle (55.27)
  • Joshua Roberts (Saco, Maine) took second in the 100 Yard Backstroke (59.59) and third in the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:02.21)
  • Hayden Sattler (Lamoine, Maine) placed third in the 50 Yard Freestyle (25.89)

Women's Meet Highlights: 

  • Kaitlyn Reny (Lewiston, Maine) finished first and met the A qualifying time in the 50 Yard Breaststroke (37.17). Reny also finished second in the 100 Freestyle (1:04.19)
  • Amber Durant (Mansfield, Mass.) claimed second in the 100 Yard Backstroke (1:20.85)
  • Micaela Tanguay (Arundel, Maine) took first in the 50 Yard Butterfly (31.82)
