MacMahon, D'Auria and Perez Earn ECAC Honors

DANBURY, Conn. – Maine Maritime Academy's Maggie MacMahon (Boise, Idaho) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III North Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, Maria Perez (San Juan, Puerto Rico) grabbed ECAC Defensive Player of the Week Honors and Jessica D'Auria (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) has been named the ECAC Rookie of the Week.

On Monday, MacMahon was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, Perez was named the NAC Defensive Player of the Week and D'Auria was tabbed the NAC Rookie of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week - Maggie MacMahon – SO, OH, Maine Maritime Academy

MacMahon helped lead the Mariners to 3-1 week, totaling 36 kills (3.00 k/s), 18 digs (1.50 d/s), and five aces (0.42 sa/s). In the Mariners' 3-0 win over Unity, the sophomore tallied seven kills, three digs and one ace. In a 3-0 victory over St. Joseph (Conn.), she recorded 11 kills and four digs. To end the week against Trinity, she had six kills and three digs and verse Mt. St. Mary she contributed 12 kills, eight digs and four aces. 

Defensive Player of the Week- Maria Perez – SO, L, Maine Maritime Academy 

Perez helped the Mariners to a 3-1 week totaling 49 digs (4.08 d/s), six aces (0.50 sa/s) and three assists (0.25 a/s). Against Unity, Perez led all players with 19 digs and also added two aces. Against St. Joseph (Conn.), she tallied 10 digs, three aces and two assists. Against Trinity she led the team with 11 digs, while also adding an assist and against Mt. St. Mary she tallied nine digs and one ace 

Rookie of the Week - Jessica D'Auria – FR, OH, Maine Maritime Academy

D'Auria had an impressive week once again, leading the Mariners to a 3-1 record with 25 kills (2.08 k/s), 18 digs (1.50 d/s), 16 aces (1.33 sa/s), two blocks (0.17 b/s) and one assist. Against Unity in the Mariners' 3-0 win, the rookie tallied six kills, six aces and one dig. Against St. Joseph (Conn.) ,she tallied 10 digs, six aces, five kills and two blocks. On Saturday, against Trinity she recorded six digs, six kills, three aces and one assist and in the final match of the week she recorded eight kills, one dig and one ace.
