NEW LONDON, Conn. – Maine Maritime Academy volleyball collected a pair of 3-0 victories over Oneonta College and Connecticut College on Saturday in non-conference action at Luce Field House.
The Mariners improve to 5-3 with the two wins and will travel to Bowdoin College on Wednesday, September 12 for a non-conference matchup at 7:00 pm.

Maggie MacMahon (Boise, Idaho) led the Mariners with 16 kills, hitting .500 on the match, and added two digs, and an ace. Avery O'Neal (Burbank, Calif.) tallied a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs, and also added four aces, two blocks and an assist. Maria Perez (San Juan, Puerto Rico) tallied a team-high 18 digs, to go along with one assist and Sydney Adams (Trumbull, Conn.) led the Mariners with 35 assists, while also contributing seven digs, two kills and two blocks.
Maine Maritime Academy 3 – Connecticut College 0 (25-23, 25-22. 25-22)
Alexa Cacacie (Manahawkin, N.J.) led the Mariners with a match-high 12 kills, Sydney Adams (Trumbull, Conn.) led all players with 25 assists, and added seven digs and three kills and Maria Perez led the Mariners with 14 digs, while also contributing four assists and three aces. Avery O'Neal (Burbank, Calif.) tallied a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs and also added a match-high six aces and two blocks.
Bridget Fatse led Connecticut College (2-2) with 10 digs and nine kills, teammate Grace McGee had a double-double of 21 assists and 14 digs to go along with five kills and two blocks. Elle Kass led the team with 38 digs.
