WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Senior Olivia Osborne (Newcastle, Maine) led the Mariners to a 57th place finish at the NCAA Regional Championships hosted by Williams College.
Osborne finished 350th overall, among the 387 runners with a time of 29:34.7, Kristine Mehuren (Searsmont, Maine) placed 376th with her time of 33:30.0, followed closely by Alice Stenquist (Bath, Maine) at 379th and Sarah Markwood (Montville, N.J.) at 380th. Ellie Perkins (Kennebunk, Maine) placed 381st and Olivia Burke (China, Maine) finished 383rd to round out the Mariners field.
The MIT women were victorious at the NCAA Div. 3 Regional hosted by Williams College at the Mount Greylock Regional High School's 6k course. The top teams were first place MIT with 40 points and second place Middlebury with 65 points. Both MIT and Middlebury have thus automatically qualified for the NCAA championships, which will be held on November 22nd in Mason, Ohio.
