Women's Cross Country Competes at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Maine Maritime Academy women's cross country finished 43rd out of 45 teams at Saturday's 46th Annual UMass Dartmouth Women's Cross Country Invitational.

Sierra James (Campton, N.H.) led Maine Maritime, finishing in 266th place with a time of 24:41.42 on the 5K course. Abigail L'Abbé (Topsham, Maine) finished 274th with a time of 25:10.58, followed closely behind by teammate Joanna Howard (Eliot, Maine) in 276th. Catherine Cornell (Portland, Maine) placed 299th with a time of 29:16.22 and Jessica Lindsay (Limestone, Maine) rounded out the top five finishers for the Mariners in 303rd with a time of 30:14.45.

Emily Bryson's winning time of 17:54.59 propelled Brandeis to the team title.

Maine Maritime returns to action next Saturday, September 22 at the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College.
