LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Maine Maritime Academy women's cross country placed three runners in the top 20 to finish fourth on Saturday at the NVU-Lyndon Invitational.
Freshman Lily Cook (Southwest Harbor, Maine) led the Mariners finishing in 13th place out of 55 runners on the 3K course with a time of 15:58.2. Senior Abigail L'Abbé (Topsham, Maine) came in 15th place with a time 16:26.3.
Nerissa Cyr (Caribou, Maine) finished in 19th place with a time of 16:57.5, freshman Milo Cook-Sharp (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) finished 24th overall with a time of 18:57.4, and senior Jessica Lindsay (Limestone, Maine) rounded out the top five for the Mariners finishing in 26th with a time of 19:38.4.
Husson University took first place overall with a team score of 28, University of Maine at Farmington finished second with a score of 33. Northern Vermont University-Lyndon's Zosia Prince completed the course first with a time of 13:13.7.
The Mariners return to action next Saturday, September 14th, at the UNE Invitational in Biddeford, Maine at 10:45 am.
