NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Maine Maritime Academy women's cross country competed in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.
Freshman Milo Cook-Sharp (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) was the Mariners' top finisher on the 5k course, placing 236th out of 263 runners, with a time of 25:12.53.
Fifth year Nerissa Cyr (Caribou, Maine) crossed the finish line in 242nd, with a time 26:16.43. Freshman Lily Cook (Southwest Harbor, Maine) finished in 244th, with a time of 26:47.64. Senior Jessica Lindsay (Limestone, Maine) was the final Mariner to finish with a time of 31:05.66.
Holy Cross was the top team with a score of 83, Mount Holyoke placed second with a team score of 92, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute finished third with a score of 129. Suffolk University's Emily Manfra was the top women's finisher with a time of 17:51.72.
The Mariners return to action on Saturday, October 5th, at the State of Maine Championships hosted by Colby College at 11:00am
